Create a structurally strong, low-maintenance, louvered synthetic shutter with the beauty of handcrafted wood that can be fabricated using existing woodworking equipment.

Solution:

Chelsea Building Products developed a proprietary, PVC composite formulation and extrusion tooling to produce structurally strong profiles. When extruded, assembled and finished, the shutters have the physical characteristics of wood, but will not rot or warp, and the louvers will not sag over time.
