Packer/Material Specialist

Job Summary

Chelsea Building Products, an industry leader in extrusion manufacturing, compound function, and building product development has immediate full-time opportunities available for entry level Packer/Material Specialist positions.

We are searching for Packers who are dependable individuals, quick-learners, flexible, and possess the willingness to work collaboratively with members of their work team.

Responsibilities include visually inspecting products and measuring product length to make sure the appropriate materials are being used. These individuals also ensure that all proper documentation is completed before finalizing the packing process in preparation for shipment.

The Packer/Materials Specialist position offers future promotional opportunities if performance warrants.

This is a direct hire . Medical, dental, life insurance, and 401k with match effective after 90 days of employment. Outstanding work environment based on teamwork and quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Reliable transportation;

Chelsea Building Products South Inc., a division of Chelsea Building Products located in Pittsburgh, PA is an industry leader in extrusion manufacturing, compounding and product development has immediate full-time opportunity available for a Technician position at its new Greenville Texas facility.

We are searching for Individuals who are dependable, have excellent mechanical aptitude, are quick-learners and possess the willingness to work collaboratively with members of their work team.

Responsibilities include setting up tooling and calibrating plastic extrusions for a multitude of different profiles. This position is also responsible for monitoring and adjusting extrusion lines as needed and quality monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience
  • Capable of starting, stopping, and changing-over an extrusion tool
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to correct quality issues
  • Ability to lead a small crew on an rotating shift
Part-Time Laborer

The hours are flexible days or nights. Weekend or weekday work available.

Following packing instructions and practices closely;
Visually inspecting products and measuring product length to make sure the appropriate materials are being used;

QA Auditor - Manufacturing (Night Shift)

Job Description

Chelsea Building Products, an industry leader in extrusion manufacturing, compound function, and building product development has an immediate full time opportunity available for an experienced Quality Auditor.

We are searching for a QA Auditor with proven ability in quality and auditing experience within a manufacturing environment.

The Quality Auditor:

  • Audits and prepares daily qualification documents on manufactured products
  • Insures product is produced to business-approved standards and makes disposition accordingly
  • Qualifies all manufactured products according to quality and procedure manuals
  • Collects data such as dimensions, function ability, color, productivity, and perform necessary tests
  • Records data in a format that will display the capability of a process
  • Communicates findings to Production Supervisor

Requirements include:

  • Previous quality auditing experience
  • Ability to use digital calipers
  • Knowledge of 5X and 10X comparators
  • Ability to read blueprints or part drawings
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent safety & attendance practices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work 12 hour shifts, 9 pm – 9 am following a 2-2-3 schedule
  • Previous manufacturing experience is a plus

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining dies used in the plastic extrusion process utilizing various cleaning methods and techniques.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Reliable transportation;

  • Experience with basic tools;

Tool and Die Maker

Job Description

Chelsea Building Products, an industry leader in extrusion manufacturing, compound function, and building product development has an immediate full-time opportunity for qualified Tool and Die Makers. We are searching for a positive individual who possesses strong teamwork skills, flexibility, a willingness to learn, strong multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work independently.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify tools and dies, using machine tools and hand tools.
  • Set up and operate drill presses to drill and tap holes in parts for assembly.
  • Smooth and polish flat and contoured surfaces of parts or tools.
  • Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications; adjust as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Tool Room experience
  • Demonstrated skill and ability to manufacture tooling to blueprint specifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill to set up and operate all conventional tool room machinery
  • Demonstrated expertise in assembling and troubleshooting a wide variety of complex mold tooling
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems
Machine Operator (Second Shift)

Job Description

  • Responsible for setup and operation of lamination machine with support staff of two employees
  • Execute production schedule
  • Responsible for quality control sampling

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
  • 2 plus years in a manufacturing environment with machine operation experience
  • Excellent mechanical skills, good verbal and communication skills
  • Leadership experience a plus
  • Ability to read engineering prints and bill of materials
  • High school diploma minimum / 2-year technical school preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment and flexible work hours (primary schedule second/afternoon shift)
  • PC skills / MS office preferred

Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a positive attitude, be coachable, and look for ways to improve job processes
  • Must be reliable and have good attendance and communication skills
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Understands basic principles of electricity
  • The Ideal candidate would be able to work day or night shift
  • Must be able to work a 12-hour shift following a 3-2-2 schedule
  • Familiar with 3-phase, 480v electricity is a plus
  • Electronic troubleshooting skills is a plus
  • Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics as a plus
