Packer/Material Specialist

Job Summary

Chelsea Building Products, an industry leader in extrusion manufacturing, compound function, and building product development has immediate full-time opportunities available for entry level Packer/Material Specialist positions.

We are searching for Packers who are dependable individuals, quick-learners, flexible, and possess the willingness to work collaboratively with members of their work team.

Responsibilities include visually inspecting products and measuring product length to make sure the appropriate materials are being used. These individuals also ensure that all proper documentation is completed before finalizing the packing process in preparation for shipment.

The Packer/Materials Specialist position offers future promotional opportunities if performance warrants.

Production Technician - Chelsea South

Chelsea Building Products South Inc., a division of Chelsea Building Products located in Pittsburgh, PA is an industry leader in extrusion manufacturing, compounding and product development has immediate full-time opportunity available for a Technician position at its new Greenville Texas facility.

We are searching for Individuals who are dependable, have excellent mechanical aptitude, are quick-learners and possess the willingness to work collaboratively with members of their work team.

Responsibilities include setting up tooling and calibrating plastic extrusions for a multitude of different profiles. This position is also responsible for monitoring and adjusting extrusion lines as needed and quality monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience
  • Capable of starting, stopping, and changing-over an extrusion tool
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to correct quality issues

QA Auditor - Manufacturing

Job Description

Chelsea Building Products, an industry leader in extrusion manufacturing, compound function, and building product development has an immediate full time opportunity available for an experienced Quality Auditor.

We are searching for a QA Auditor with proven ability in quality and auditing experience within a manufacturing environment.

The Quality Auditor:

  • Audits and prepares daily qualification documents on manufactured products
  • Insures product is produced to business-approved standards and makes disposition accordingly
  • Qualifies all manufactured products according to quality and procedure manuals
  • Collects data such as dimensions, function ability, color, productivity, and perform necessary tests
  • Records data in a format that will display the capability of a process
  • Communicates findings to Production Supervisor

Requirements include:

  • Previous quality auditing experience
  • Ability to use digital calipers
  • Knowledge of 5X and 10X comparators
  • Ability to read blueprints or part drawings
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent safety & attendance practices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work 12 hour shifts, 9 am – 9 pm following a 2-2-3 schedule

Tool and Die Maker

Job Description

We are searching for a positive individual who possesses strong teamwork skills, flexibility, a willingness to learn, strong multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work independently.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify tools and dies, using machine tools and hand tools.
  • Set up and operate drill presses to drill and tap holes in parts for assembly.
  • Smooth and polish flat and contoured surfaces of parts or tools.
  • Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications; adjust as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Tool Room experience
  • Demonstrated skill and ability to manufacture tooling to blueprint specifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill to set up and operate all conventional tool room machinery

Inside Sales - Everlast Composite Siding

Job Description

Basic Function and Responsibilities

The function of the Inside Sales Representative is to provide direct support to the Sales Manager in the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers and products to ensure that the department can meet its growth targets. The Inside Sales Representative will function as a single point of contact to support the outside sales team, customer service, as well as customers through direct communication.

Responsible for building and maintaining tactical relationships with the outside sales team and customers as well as developing a firm knowledge of products and services offered by Chelsea to support the customer’s needs.

Responsible for working closely with Marketing Communications on projects, releases, bulletins, and the coordination of the samples and literature programs for the customers and the sales team.

This position is an introduction to customers, products and programs with the expectation that the individual will take over an outside sales territory in the future.

Reporting Relationship

Inside Sales reports to the National Sales Manager.

Qualifications

· 2 years Sales inside/outside experience

· Marketing experience

· 4-year College Degree

Since 1975, Chelsea Building Products, Inc. has been designing and extruding PVC and composite profiles for the building materials market. Manufacturing Cost / Inventory Accountant

Established in 1975 Chelsea Building Products has pioneered the design and manufacturing of meticulously engineered extruded profiles used in PVC and composite windows and doors, cellular moldings, and reinforcement; plus, Everlast composite sidings, shutters, custom profiles and more.

 

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are seeking to hire a senior cost/inventory accountant which will have previously obtained 5 – 7 prior years of related experience preferably within the manufacturing sector who will be the steward of our inventory.  Must be a go-getter, team player, and follow through with assignments. 

Responsibilities:

  • Stewart of inventory process and balances of two facilities located in PA and TX
  • Reconcile inventory balances to the GL and posting associated monthly journal entries
  • Coordinate and oversee the annual and monthly physical inventories counts
  • Maintain inventory workpapers for internal reporting and outside audit firm
  • Compile monthly internal financial packages, partake in monthly review with CEO and controller
  • Submit monthly financials to our German parent in accordance with their reporting policies
  • Key contributor to budget and ability to work closely with Sr. managers, controller and CEO
  • Prepare quarterly forecasts based on expected future trends and results
  • Monthly reconciliation of CAPEX and maintenance of depreciation schedules
  • Work closely with controller and accounting manager to prepare schedules for annual audit
  • Preform other duties, analytical research, and special projects as they arise

 

Requirements of position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience. Manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Exposure to budgeting and forecasting process
  • Consolidated financial reporting
  • Understanding of GAAP
  • Strong background in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in conducting inventories
  • Knowledge of ERP and accounting software, INFOR XA

Engineering Coordinator

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate all Product Design Engineering Releases

• Coordinate Technical Information for Product Bulletins

• Daily Data Collection of manufacturing Quality Data for Business reports and summaries

• Assist Engineering Management in updating Engineering Work Order Log

• Assist in minor documentation revisions

• Assist in continuous Engineering policy and procedure updates

DISCREPTION:

The primary responsibilities of the Engineering Coordinator is to ensure that all Engineering and Quality data and documentation is correctly published and distributed in the required time frame. This includes collecting daily Raw Quality Audits from the Production Floor (QA Manager)and convert the information generating the required reporting to the business of recent manufacturing quality/process activities. Also, Coordinate all ECN related activities associated with Engineering changes and or Releases. Acquire required information for all internal and external customer bulletin releases.

ENVIRONMENT:

Informal Office location with the ability to work from time to time on a limited basis in a manufacturing environment.

REPORTS TO:

Directly Reports to the Director of Engineering
