Business Development Manager
Responsibilities:
- Build market presence for European-made window and door systems (tilt & turn, patio sliders) across North America
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business using data- and CRM-driven targeting
- Grow existing accounts with territory plans, cross-sell/upsell, and joint go-to-market initiatives
- Open new territories, especially where the brand is not yet represented
- Recommend profit and service improvements (focus on profitability vs. turnover)
- Track industry trends and competitor moves; feed insights to product and strategy
- Produce clear pipeline, KPI, and market reports using provided tools
- Plan and execute purposeful customer visits; right-size service levels
- Deliver basic product and technical presentations (onsite and virtual)
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and seminars; propose next year’s calendar by early Q4
- Collaborate closely with U.S. teams and subsidiaries (e.g., Pittsburgh)
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of B2B sales/business development in building materials, windows/doors, or related construction products
- Channel experience with fabricators, dealers, architects, builders, and installers
- Languages: romanian or polish are a big advantage
- Bonus: Experience with European tilt & turn systems or high-performance/multifamily projects
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills; confident presenter and relationship builder
- CRM- and KPI-driven working style; accurate forecasting and disciplined reporting
- Technical aptitude to learn window/profile systems and performance value drivers
- Willing and able to travel ~70% across the U.S., including overnights and events; valid driver’s license
- Ideally based in Chicago, New York, Washington, DC, or Boston metro areas
- Self-starter with ownership mindset; reliable, persistent, and collaborative
- U.S. work authorization
